RM8 million in just 11 days For Polis Evo

Shaheizy Sam and Zizan Razak leave big impact on "Polis Evo".

 "Polis Evo"(Malaysian Movie), the action movie directed by Ghaz Abu Bakar, has managed to collect RM8 million in just 11 days of showing in cinemas across Malaysia and Brunei.

Released on 17 September, the movie has since received encouraging reception from the audiences, proving that the local movie industry is still thriving, albeit a little short on productions with good quality.

Vice President and Head of Astro Shaw, Najwa Abu Bakar, stated that the company will continue to promote the movie in order to attract more audiences to the cinemas.

"We are grateful for the support given by the fans towards the movie. We did not expect that despite the low moment faced by the local movie industry, fans would still be able to place "Polis Evo" at the top of the Malay movie box office this year," said Najwa.

Najwa also stated that it was too early to predict the situation of the local movie industry, though she hoped that the success will encourage local filmmakers.

"Polis Evo" stars Shaheizy Sam and Zizan Razak as well as Nora Danish, Wan Hanafi Su, Pablo Amirul and more.
