Gautham Menon recently completed his trilogy of cop stories with Yennai Arindhaal starring Ajith in the lead role. The director's prior outings with Suriya and Kamal, in the form of Kaakha Kaakha and Vettaiyadu Vilaiyadu respectively, were much-celebrated 'episodes' in the life of a cop. With Yennai Arindhaal, GVM added more emotional depth to the film in the form of a father - daughter relationship angle, and the film has met with its share of positive reviews from both fans and the general audience.
